Serenity Shield uses Findora’s Tech to Add Security to their Inheritance option dApp, StrongBox
We are proud to announce that Serenity Shield has received the third grant issued from the Findora Foundation. Through the grant, Serenity Shield will use Findora’s zk-technology to enhance the security of their inherence dApp, StrongBox®️.
Serenity Shield offers a secure, decentralized solution for transferring seed phrases, private keys, and any other confidential data in unforeseen circumstances. It does this by storing the information in a digital vault called StrongBox®️ and distributing key shards to appointed heirs.
A series of smart contracts allow the vault to be opened by heirs under certain preconditions e.g. if the vault creator doesn’t check in within a certain period of time. This lets users choose heirs for their private keys and other sensitive information upon their death or if they are otherwise incapacitated.
Using Findora’s zkNFTs, users can send the access keys without revealing their wallet addresses, preventing phishing attacks and scams. Working together, Serenity Shield and Findora are creating the most secure solution to the inheritance problem native to Web3.
SerenityShield and Findora are a perfect fit, and we were delighted for them to be a launch partner for Prism++. They’re interested in using NFTs to solve real-world problems, and they recognize that zero-knowledge technology is essential to that mission; that zk makes NFTs fit for intellectual property and financial instrument use cases, not just as PFPs.

“We are thrilled and honored to be selected as a grantee winner by Findora. With the support of Findora, we will accelerate our efforts to develop innovative solutions that empower users to protect their digital assets while ensuring the seamless and confidential transfer of a users’ StrongBox NFT keys. We are grateful for this opportunity and excited about the positive impact we can make together.”

Secure Your Future with Serenity Shield
Most people don’t have an inheritance plan for their crypto assets; some may not understand the need for one. However, the permanent loss of digital assets when someone passes away has been a major problem for Web3 for a long time. Increasingly, users are waking up to the inaccessibility of their assets should something happen to them.
As Serenity Shield likes to say, blockchain problems require blockchain solutions. Mass adoption won’t happen without a solution to the inheritance issue created by private keys and true self-custody. That is why they’ve created the StrongBox®️, an industry-leading, decentralized inheritance option that relies on cryptography and encryption instead of centralization and trust.
How StrongBox®️ Works
StrongBox is a vault system that both securely stores sensitive information and releases it when specific parameters are met. Here’s an overview of how it works:
The data you want to protect is encrypted using AES 256 and stored within a private smart contract on Secret Network. It can be accessed by a viewing key which is sharded into three separate NFTs with one shard transferred to a randomly selected vault, one to the user, and one to the user’s nominee. Any single shard of the viewing key is unable to access the data – access requires at least two key shards to prevent collusion attacks.
For example, a user could set their StrongBox®️ to check in with them regularly. If the user fails to respond to a check-in within a specific timeframe, the nominee’s key will activate and, when combined with the Serenity Shield shard of the viewing key, it can unlock the StrongBox®️ vault, thereby revealing its contents.
Adding Security with Findora’s zkNFTs
To further protect the viewing key, Serenity Shield is working with Findora to add an extra layer of encryption. The wallet addresses that hold the NFT shards can be protected with Findora’s zkNFT system. This system is part of Prism++ which allows FRC-20, FRC-721 and FRC-1155 tokens to be transferred in a way that won’t compromise personally identifying information on the blockchain. By protecting wallet addresses, Findora helps StrongBox®️ prevent phishing scams and reduce other possible attack vectors.
Scheduled to launch on mainnet by mid-July, Serenity Shield will give users the most robust inheritance solution in Web3, made even more secure through Findora’s zkNFTs.
About Serenity Shield
Serenity Shield is a pioneering platform that addresses the challenges of centralized data ownership and the lack of decentralized inheritance protocols. Through their fully decentralized and privacy-preserving application, StrongBox®️, users gain complete control over their confidential data, enabling secure storage, seamless transfer, and reliable recovery.
Their solution eliminates the risks associated with self-custody and seed phrases, allowing users to easily pass down their digital assets with customizable inheritance options.
In a world plagued by frequent data breaches, Serenity Shield allows you to charge of your data with privacy and data protection.
About Findora
Findora is a Layer-1 protocol delivering zero-knowledge solutions to Web3.
Findora integrates two ledgers into a single chain: an EVM ledger for interoperability and a UXTO ledger optimized for zk operations. This dual-layer architecture lets Findora encrypt blockchain data for programmable transparency and public use. By providing new use cases, Findora’s zk tech prepares Web3 for real-world adoption.
